**Positions under the Analysis tab**

It would be really helpful if the Positions under the Analysis tab could be sorted in both ascending and descending order based on key columns such as:

  • Instrument Name
  • P&L
  • Quantity
  • LTP

Currently, the list appears static, which makes it difficult to quickly analyze performance, especially when holding multiple positions. Adding a simple sorting option (click-to-sort on column headers) would make analysis much faster and more intuitive.

This small UX improvement can save time for active traders and improve portfolio monitoring.

Would love to hear from others—do you think sorting by P&L or LTP would help streamline your analysis workflow?

I believe, the current timestamp sorted position is fine. Sorting doesn’t add any value to me.

Fair point — but it really depends on the number of active trades one is managing.

For example, I currently have 27 open positions across 17 stocks and (29 Closed positions) .
In such cases, being able to sort by P&L, LTP, or even instrument name makes it far easier to analyze performance and take quick decisions, rather than scrolling through a static list.

Also, another small suggestion — under Pay-Off Simulation, it would be very useful if the margin used could also be displayed. That would make it more complete for risk analysis.

Hii @Bishnoi, Thank you for sharing your idea!

We have taken note of your suggestion to add a shorting option in the Positions section under the Analysis tab on the Options Trader platform. This would make it easier to short open positions directly. We really appreciate your feedback.
