What do you usually do in noon trading session?

Hello Bulls and Bears,

Just wanted to ask, how do you use the noon hours for trading?
Morning is always busy… some days we make profit, some days loss. By noon, everyone has their own style.

For me, sometimes I try to find fresh chances, and mostly I just look at how to cover up the morning mistakes.

So made one small poll:

What do you usually do in noon trading session?

  • Looking for new trades / fresh opportunities.
  • Trying to recover morning losses.

Please vote and also share in comments how you normally handle the noon session. Do you reset your mind and start fresh, or you focus on making back the losses?

Thanks, waiting to hear your thoughts.

Market start to close just the same approach. For Algo trades, just Monitoring whether any exceptions happen. For discretionary option selling (only index options) I look for opportunities throughout the live session.

Thanks for the response! I’ve noticed myself chasing trades just to cover morning mistakes, so that’s why I started this thread. For the next couple of months, I want to focus mainly on the noon session. It feels less hectic and gives a clearer view of the market.

What I’ve noticed is that in the morning session, even when there’s a good trend setting up, it often gets diverted or distorted by derivative players pushing prices around. This makes it hard to hold onto clear directional moves early in the day.

I noticed, after 2 pm in the noon, is when the market’s directional moves become clearer and more consistent because there’s less interference from speculative derivative trading and the direction gets backed by FII volume in the cash Market.

Institutional traders tend to be more active during the opening and closing hour. Also pre-market algo war happens between institutional machines.

What is your observation/thought on :

  1. Market going sideways/momentum loss post morning session
  2. Finding opportunities for BTST

Thanks!

When the clock strikes two, the noise begins to fade—
Speculation sleeps, and clarity invades.

In the hush of waning hours, the truth takes stage,
Not by chance, but by conviction’s wage.

Now flows the cash, with purpose and might,
And price finds meaning in directional light.

Heard you are now using AI to rephrase even before ordering items from your grocery store owner. Is it true? :grinning_cat_with_smiling_eyes:

AI content drafting & editing tools have really improved the quality of public content posted on forums. They help reduce typos, clarify messages, and make information easier to understand. Overall, I think this contributes to a more informed and knowledgeable community.

AI is truly valuable for those who are curious, seeking answers, or aiming to deepen their understanding of a subject. It serves as a powerful tool for exploration, learning, and gaining new perspectives.

However, for those who have no questions, no interest in digging deeper, or feel they already know enough, AI might not seem particularly useful.

Its true potential is unlocked only when it’s engaged with curiosity and a desire to grow.
