Adding Stop Loss to position

Hi I was trying to add Stop Loss to one of my position.
The page opened after click “add” (stop loss)button has no “stop loss” value field . But has “Limit” and “Trigger”.

What I expect is as below like other apps

Any advice?

Hi @Greeshma_Abhilash

Thank you for sharing your feedback, we have noted it.

Stop Loss orders are placed in the order book and are triggered when the market reaches a specified price, known as the “Trigger Price”. Some also refer to this as the Stop Loss Price.

Once the trigger price is reached, the order can be executed in one of two ways:

  • As a market order, known as SL-M (Stop Loss - Market)
  • As a limit order, known as SL-L (Stop Loss - Limit)

In the screenshot above, you will notice that there is no option for SL-M as it is not allowed for commodity options. Therefore, both the Trigger Price and the Limit Price must be specified when placing the order.

We hope this clears things up.

@Naman thank you so much, that clarified my confusion!
I wish Dhan had some info holders. May be there are few people like me too without clues because used to be familiar with different norms.

I mean just like these
When we click on the Time in Force field, we get more info.

Next popup

Or like this with an info marker

Then on press, gives out the info

Thank you!

Hi @Naman @Dhan
Help me to direct to your user guides for below.
For me to book profit on a positive riding holding, I set my sell order like this in another account.
How do I do the same in Dhan?
