Are interest and pledging charges collected if MTF position is converted to delivery, and delivery is closed intraday?

Are interest and pledging charges collected if stocks bought with MTF are converted to delivery, and they are closed intraday?

@Mohseen_Usmani

No, only Intraday trading (buy & Sell) cost will incur in this scenario. @Trader_FT

Okay. Thank you.

Are interest and pledging charges applicable if a stock is bought with MTF but squared off in the same session?

Are closing a MTF position directly without converting to delivery and closing a MTF position after converting to delivery same or different?

Why is MTF orders conversion not available in web? It is available only in app.

Hi @Trader_FT,

  • If an MTF position is squared off on the same day, no interest or pledge charges are applicable, as it is treated as an intraday trade.

  • Closing an MTF position directly vs. converting to delivery and then closing results in the same outcome in terms of charges if done on the same day.

  • The Convert to MTF / Delivery feature is currently available on the app. We’re working on extending this functionality to the web platform as well.

So, if a stock is bought using MTF and is closed in the same session without converting to delivery, no charges are collected despite the position shown as MTF in blue color?
