Feature Enhancement Requests for Watchlists on Dhan Web App

  1. Easier Way to Clear a Watchlist
    Currently, to clear a watchlist, the steps are:
    Full Watchlist → Select All (from header) → Delete Scrips (at bottom).
    If there’s a quicker method, I’d be happy to be corrected.
    Suggestion: Add a “Clear Watchlist” option either:
  • Within the 3-dot menu at the bottom right, or
  • Next to the watchlist name in the header.
    This would streamline the process significantly.
  1. Simplified Watchlist Import Process
    The current flow is:
    Click 3-dot menu → Import Watchlists → Upload file/paste scrips → Click ‘Import Scrips’ → Click ‘Import Scrips’ again → Click ‘Add’ next to desired watchlist.
    Suggestion: Auto-import scrips directly into the active watchlist upon clicking ‘Import Watchlists’, eliminating the final step of selecting the watchlist manually.

Both features aim to simplify workflows:

  • Feature 1 minimizes steps for clearing a watchlist.
  • Feature 2 avoids redundant clicks and reduces the chance of selecting the wrong watchlist.

Hi @ekveer we completely understand the need to simplify tasks like clearing a watchlist and making the import process more seamless. Reducing extra steps and clicks can go a long way in improving the overall user experience and we have noted both feedback’s and will definitely consider them as we continue to enhance the Dhan Web and App.
