Implement margin Requirement on existing positions for Hedge Benifits

Hi @Dhan team,

Requesting to Implement “Margin calculation on existing positions” feature.
I was unable to place few orders due to the margin limitations.

Hoping this will be addressed at the earliest.

Also please share the tentative timelines for the feature implementation.

This is the must have feature which helps in placing the F&O orders.

Hey @LokeshK ,

You could go the margin summary in Money section to see your margin details. Assume this should help you. Is there something else that you wanted ?

Sorry this is not regarding checking the margins.

To be precise, when I want to add / remove any new positons to the existing basket orders it should consider “Existing Positions for Margin requirement”. for hedge benifit.

Example :

Let’s assume I have 1 BUY order and 1 SELL order in Basket and I want exit BUY order and again I want to add another BUY order which tends to replace the existing Buy order.
In this case there will be a margin shortfall for SELL order.

To over come this Firstly I will place Buy order / Basket order for which it replaces the existing BUY position by exiting the current BUY position.

Ask:
While performing this, Will the new BUY order treated as Individual BUY order or this can be acted as an hedge position for the existing SELL order?

If it is treated as Individual BUY order and which does not give any Hedge benifits, Can you please add a feature to select / enable "Include Current Positions" for Hedge benifits.

So there will be no isssues with the margin shortfall as new position is replacing the existing BUY position without any liquidation issues.
