Request for Information on Stock Selection Criteria in Rent Stocks

Could you please help me understand if there is any specific logic or criteria used to decide which stocks appear under the Rent Stocks section?

Hi @Sateeshpv Welcome to MadeForTrade community.

Stocks available for Rental or Borrowing on SLBM are defined by NSE Clearing Corp. The listed is announced by NSE on every month and accordingly circulars are issued for same to exchanges / trading platforms.

What exchanges usually look for are:

  • Stocks & Securities available for trading in F&O segment of NSE
  • Index based ETF that has traded on at least 80% of the days over the past 6 months
  • Stocks listed in Group 1 securities by SEBI, usually high quality stocks; stocks were MWPL > 100 crores and Average monthly turnover in Cash Market is > 100 crores in past 6 months.

As a trading platform on Dhan we can only offer from that list of stocks, and not ones outside of the same. Hope this helps.
